The Greenham Stakes is a Group 3 flat horse race in Great Britain which is open to three-year-old thoroughbred colts and geldings. It is run at Newbury over a distance of 7 furlongs (1,408 metres), and it is scheduled to take place each year in April.
The event was established in 1906, and it is named after Greenham, a village to the south-east of Newbury and the civil parish in which the racecourse is located.
During the early part of its history the race was contested over a mile, but it was shortened by a furlong when it resumed after World War II.
The Greenham Stakes serves as a trial for the first colts' Classics of the European flat season. The last winner to subsequently achieve victory in the 2,000 Guineas was Frankel in 2011. The last to win the Poule d'Essai des Poulains was Victory Note in 1998.
